All he was worried about was calling things to field and then punching him as hard as he can. He clearly didn't care about skills and matchups. This is kind of a big point in the episode prior to this one with his fight against Kageros. However, he still doesn't understand how much paying attention to both his cards as well as his opponent's units are and knowing what they all do.
#Cardfight vanguard anime how to
What I'm hoping for is that this is well planned out plot point in the sense that Chronos understands how the game works at its most basic level, knowing how to ride, stride, call, attack, etc. I do agree with everyone else that the skills and powers and stuff would be nice. I also do like how they've made the fights a lot more interesting visually with a lot more action going on. Not to mention the potential for implementing this in a Generation Cardfight Game. The mission system opens up ideas for a whole lot of things. Got better by the end, but the first half or so was painful to watch.Īs for this series, I'm enjoying a lot of what its introduced so far. Can't say the Legion season was great though. Sure, crazy shadow realm tier stuff was inbound, but it ended up making for an interesting concept in real life (Reverse Tournaments and the like) Not to mention the fact that it did so to represent and mirror some of the lore of cray which made the expansive lore that they already have for everything more interesting and relatable to something.
#Cardfight vanguard anime series
I started the original series and got into it around midway through the Link Joker arc and I liked the story. I haven't watched the more recent episode yet (Yesterday), but I personally am enjoying the show right now. Sorry I just needed to rant and posting this in r/anime would get no attention. I have no idea where the writers are trying to take the anime, but it seems more like a generic show than a niche show about a card game they want to promote.Īlso the main character has the weirdest hair and eye color to boot and trying to one up Yugioh ZeXal with Stride Generation transforming animations is pretty sad. It just shows a person taking 1-3 damage a turn. When the protagonist does fight the units outside of the vanguard aren't even named and triggers are never shown. If you don't watch the show anymore, it's pretty much become Megaman Battle Network (the MC does mission boards and that's pretty much most of the episode). I expected the new season / show to be pretty much like the first season and how they show new mechanics and everything, but I feel the show is no longer about the card game. I know that a lot of the people here either started this game due to the anime or at least learned something from the anime.
